Doing Okay

Caring Bridge has turned out to be too difficult, so I started this private blog.  Here is what I wrote on Caring Bridge this morning (day after my first dose of MTX).

The first dose has not caused terrible side effects. I had moderate nausea for about an hour last night and was very dizzy. I went to sleep easily, though, and slept through the night very well. After having seen pictures on facebook before bed of my dear friend's layover in the Seoul airport (she's on her way to China to meet and bring home her adopted daughter), I dreamed I was on Korean Air being pampered by my dear Korean friends. :)

This morning I feel weak and mildly nauseated and dizzy. I plan to spend the day resting. The boys helped me get the house in order yesterday, and I think we found a pattern for the week that allowed us to get everything done and be ready for a restful weekend. We will be following that work pattern as best as we can each week to make Sat available for caring for myself.

Although I'm not too sick this week, please know that I'm not out of the woods. I don't want to be a pessimist, but MTX is a slow-release med and it may take a few weeks for it to affect me fully.

Thanks for your prayers!

I will continue to post here, and it should email directly to you.  I am happy to receive emails and texts, but for your convenience, you can also comment here and it will get directly to me.

Love y'all!
Dawn
